Theatricals   Written by Bridget D (9/26/2010 2:58 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Jane Austen family theatricals, penned by Ramya
Are you new?

I feel that she was possbily going through a more serious phase. Austen's fatehr does not appear to have minded the family acting whereas Sir Thomas clearly disapproved totally, which was one reason why Edmund was against the play being put on....

it is not JUST a matter of the theatricals being used as a cover for flirting or the other issues... it seems as if Sir T was really against hte idea in itself...
