Do you think it's a little funny though how Fanny takes Miss Crawfords joking generalizations personally and gets offended so easily on Edmund and William's behalf?

Edmund isn't bothered at all with those particular statements in these early conversations. I think it's a bit humorous. She's got a bit of mother bear lurking under the surface. : )
