but he is definitely being thick-headed. He acts in a similar manner when he wants Fanny's blessing for him acting in the play as Anhalt. He even pushes her by saying "I thought you would have entered more into Miss Crawford’s feelings." (Chap. 16) when it is clear that Fanny does not agree with him.

Edmund is starting to justify in himself and in others quite a lot of things he normally wouldn't...
