"...and the really good feelings by which she was almost purely governed were rapidly restoring her to all the little she had lost in Edmund’s favour."

Possibly Mary's motive was to restore Edmund's lost favor?

I love JA's wit when she says Mary's feelings were 'almost' purely governed. That tells me maybe Mary's motives were not pure.
