You make a good point about sisters fighting over a guy may not be uncommon. But true sisterly love governed by good feelings and kind hearts should never allow it to go that far. I'm aware that I probably sound a bit pollyanna-ish there.

I see that I left out an important word in my last post. I meant to say that Elinor and Marianne would never treat each other that way- hope my intent came across anyway.

I look forward to more of this conversation as the story goes on, so I'll leave off now.

I do agree too with you and BarbaraB, Edmund should be more clear-sighted to what's going on under his nose.
