I also read it once many years ago, and remember being rather bored with it. I had also forgotten a lot of it, probably because I somehow didn't really enjoy the novel at the time.

But for some reason I'm absolutely fascinated with it now and agree completely with Patricia AA that the group read gives so much insight into all of the little nuances that I would have otherwise overlooked. It makes reading the novel all the more fun.
