Steady Eddie Falls   Written by Carol (9/17/2010 11:37 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Edmund-I need group help in understanding his character., penned by Patricia AA
Are you new?

Hi Patricia,

I have no quotes for you, but to observe from human nature that it is often the the sturdiest tree that falls the hardest. I do not know what other types of girs Edmund met during his school years or travels, but here he is confronted with Mary, at close range, and for an intense period of time. (At least one week, everyday visits to the parsonage.) She certainly is different than his sisters, mother and aunt! She's beautiful, seems witty and intelligent (if perhaps a little untoward in some of her speech), accomplished-what's not to like? By the end of the week, he's well on the way to being in love. It's not logical, it's not like him, but there it is. Love is a foolish thing, sometimes.
