Tom's week at Ramsgate.   Written by Rachel G (9/17/2010 1:29 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The outs and not outs, penned by Tori Marie
Are you new?

After twelve months of constant paternal oversight I should think a sociable young man aged 25 would feel very much in need of the refreshment of hanging out with his friends for a week, at Ramsgate or wherever. Edmund has been taking responsibility at Mansfield for a year without any disasters, so another week won't make much difference.

This is not to say that I approve of Tom's behaviour, but I don't find it surprising. It would be more surprising to me if he had undergone a personality transplant while he was away, but he is a consistently drawn, covincing character, so that didn't happen.
