Are you new?

I agree with you, Mary knows what she is doing, she is playfully guiding Edmund's opinion. Furthermore, by not really apologizing, Mary makes it easy to impose on Fanny next time.

But Mary is oblivious that the pain she is inflicting on Fanny is mostly from Fanny being jealous. Does Fanny's illness come from the lack of exercise, or from her anxiety? Why is horse riding good and walking bad?
