Thanks for posting that. While that word, "heavy", always leads me to picture Mr. Rushworth as overweight, I think these definitions do fit more with Rushworth as a man, which after all has less to do with outer appearance than with character.

It's just like Austen's use of wonderful in one of these first chapters, which means nothing like our present definition but rather indicates something to wonder at.
