I am, I confess, more like Mary than Fanny. I think Fanny would get on my nerves after awhile (from her description up to this point, anyway). I think that because of the differences in interests and personalities it would be difficult to maintain a real and lasting friendship. Although they could go riding together, what would they talk about? Edmund? Probably not, and if they did Mary would probably do all the talking.
