Remember, in P&P we're told that Pemberley's natural beauty is important and it tells us a lot about its owner. Well, I think the same thing is true here. The fact that Henry is such an avid "improver" says something about him as an owner. And it's not good. In addition, the fact that Mr. Rushworth is so anxious to follow Henry's advice says something about him too. And it's not good either.
