Just kidding!!! Continuing that aspect, Dr. Grant is a prime example of how Austen feels about the sin of gluttony. Don't forget Mr. Norris and his gout--another example of how JA has little tolerance for too much rich food and drink.

Indeed, the biblical threads run deep in this novel. Mansfield Park opens like a morality play. lol
