It is a Twisted Way of Revenge Written by Lenora (9/15/2010 3:37 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mrs. Norris does enjoy being in charge., penned by Patricia AA

I suspect that Mrs. Norris pursued having Fanny come to MP also as a subconscious way of punishing her wayward sister. Accepting charity can be very humbling and sending off one of your children must have been even more humbling. Mrs. Norris must have been very satisfied with this arrangement.

I see Mrs. Norris need for control being more like orchestrating people's lives. This is the type of control where she can direct the activity without actually playing the instruments -- or pay for them!
