Mrs Price married over her family's objections & that marriage was in a somewhat hurried fashion. Mrs Norris renewed the family objections & Mrs Price in a fit of pique pretty much cut all family ties as witnessed by Mr Bertram reaction to her letter. It is a wonder that the Bertram's & Norris's took any further notice of the Price's situation nine years later.
