Are you new?

Fanny is so dependent on Edmund's attention and brotherly affection that I think having to share him with any woman is going to be difficult for her.

When Edmund starts courting and perhaps eventually marries then Fanny will inevitably have to take second place. Whether this involves Mary or some other woman, I see some difficult times ahead. I'm sure Fanny would wish most of all for Edmund's happiness, no matter the cost to herself. But could any woman possibly value his good qualities as much as she thinks he deserves?
