Henry may want to receive affection from as many women as possible, but so far I see no indication that he has any affection to give. Even his sister Mary receives kindness from him only when he is not inconvenienced by it.
Henry's character as a womaniser is made very plain as soon as he makes his appearance in the novel. I can't think of another example in any of JA's work where the 'Cad Alert" is issued so loud and clear.
