Didn't want to be tied down   Written by Catherine Ann (9/12/2010 8:58 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Wondering why Henry would not provide residence for Mary., penned by Lyzah
Are you new?

My impression was that Henry didn't want to be tied down to anyplace, including his own estate. He wanted the freedom to up and go whenever he pleased. If his sister was living with him at his house, he would have been obliged to account for his whereabouts, and plan his trips rather than just haring off when the mood took him.

As I see it, he has no objection to choosing to stay in one place, as he stays with the Grants. He simply wants to have to option of leaving at any time when he gets bored or tired of the company.
