According to Deirdre Le Faye's notes, Miss W. is Urania Wallap who married an elderly curate, the Revd Henry Wake. The verse she refers to was passed down in Anna LeFroy's family and many years later, the verse was recorded and attributed to Jane Austen.
Camilla good humored & merry & small
According to David Selwyn in The Poetry of Jane Austen and the Austen Family "This verse...refers to the engagement of a middle-aged lady, Miss Urania, Katherine Camilla Wallop, niece of the 2nd Earl of Portsmouth, to an elderly curate, the Rev'd Henry Wake. They were later married at All Saints Southampton, 26 March 1813."
