...that's exactly the way I was leaning. This is my first experience with her letters, and I haven't seen a lot to build firm opinions on -- note Robbin's message 51366 -- and her sharp wit as revealed in her books is reproduced here, where I can see possibilities of misconstruction. I, too, think she's softening and even biting off her expression in respect for possibly hypersensitive recipients, and voices the attendant frustrations to her close, understanding sister.

But, as I say, I don't have a lot yet to build a firm opinion on.
