Are you new?

Do you suppose that the comfort Cassandra's letter was from the thunderstorm was because Jane does not like them, like a phobia, or the onset of air-pressure headaches, or a distaste for the noise? Or was it because of the less-personal problems that storms bring: no visits, drenched or broken plants, muddy walks?
