Are you new?

Letter 72

April 30 1811 Sloane Street to Cassandra at Godmersham

LeFaye indicates that there is a letter missing between 71 & 72, possibly dated April 28/29.

Mr. W.K. is Wyndham Knatchbull

Self-controul is a novel by Mary Brunton.

Hans Place is off Sloane Street. Henry Austen lived there from 1814-1815. I'm not sure who they were visiting there in 1811.

Miss Allen is the new governess at Godmersham, who arrived on April 27 and lasted until November 11, 1812.

Emma Plumbtree & Henry Gibbs beame engaged on September 18 1811.
