Letter 69: This really makes me smile.   Written by Rachel G (8/19/2011 11:33 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Letter 69, penned by Myretta
Are you new?

I think this poetical letter is just delightful. I also find it touching, both for the sentiments expressed, and particularly for the evident love and affection JA feels for her brother Frank.

BTW, I think there is a typo in the text posted by Myretta. My copy of 'Le Faye has "peeping" rather than "peeing" (which changes the meaning somewhat..!)

It is lovely to read about how much Jane (and the others) are looking forward to moving house and settling in at Chawton Cottage. How she must have longed for a settled home in the country surroundings she loved, after the bleak years in the urban environments of Bath and Southampton.
