Transition   Written by BarbaraB (8/18/2011 2:36 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Ready for change, penned by Laura Marie
Are you new?

Even when writers are not actively writing, they are often in an inactive state of writing. Ideas may be simmering in the back of their mind, they are absorbing new experiences and their environment, fertile soil for use when they get back to pen and paper, maybe even jotting down notes and reading them over from time to time. The anticipation of Chawton seems to have triggered, reignited JA's desires to turn her full attention back to her work. If that was the case, then thank goodness for Chawton. I agree that it was a pivotal time and we might have missed out on some of her work that came after her removal to Chawton if it had never taken place or happened much later.
