Were Martha Lloyd and Dr. Mant lovers?   Written by Graciela (8/16/2011 8:41 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Letter 65 (Brabourne 52), penned by Myretta

In this letter JA says that "he runs after her in the street to apologise for having spoken to a gentleman while she was near him the day before", so I assume that Martha was angry with him because he slighted her; and in the next letter, Jane writes that she wishes Martha happy and that "as Dr. M. is a clergyman, their attachment, however immoral, has a decorous air".
