Some info   Written by kathleen (elder) (8/14/2011 9:57 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Re: Letter 64, penned by Rachel G
Are you new?

Mrs E.L. is Mrs E. Leigh, Cassandra's godmother, a cousin of JA's mother. She was actually never married, but the custom of the time was to title older women as Mrs, even if they were never married.

Miss Arnold is also a relative -- the daughter of another cousin of JA's mother. Mrs Cooke is, I think, another cousin. George Cooke (& his brother, Theophils) are Mrs Cooke's sons.
