...I find the letters difficult to read sometimes myself which is why I've never undertaken to read them on my own. I find I get much more from them by reading and discussing them with other JA admirers at Pemberley. I was just thinking a little while ago that it might have been beneficial if I had just scanned the 5 or 6 pages of notes that went with this group of letters and had them in front of me to glance at as I was reading so I wouldn't have to keep flipping back and forth. I also need to do the same thing with JA's family. Keeping up with all the people she writes about certainly takes time to sort them all out as you're going along. I find it all so well worth it for the insights gained from reading her own thoughts and feelings and find they go a long way to help in understanding her work. Happily, I find there is never an end to learning. :)
