Not attend the funeral?   Written by MarianneR (1/31/2010 12:11 p.m.)
Are you new?

I donīt quite understand the following quote: We are anxious to be assured that Edward will not attend the funeral, but when it comes to the point I think he must feel it impossible.

Does it mean that they hope to be assured that Edward wonīt attend the funeral? Or do they rather fear that he wonīt attend? Both times the mere thought of not attending the funeral of oneīs beloved wife seems strange to me. Could anybody enlighten me?
