poor little (? - I'm reading the letters on here so I have no idea how old niece Lizzy was at this time) Lizzy's illness with Cassandra's - but in reading your post I realize I was being a dolt. She even spoke about Lizzy having "specks" which coordinate with a break-out.

Jane said she was ill in the first letter (did she not?) - I would assume it wasn't the same type of disease that was sweeping the children, though. Do you think that would be a correct conclusion?
