All those Annes, Marys and Louisas...   Written by MarianneR (1/25/2010 3:54 a.m.)
Are you new?

This is my first acquaintance with Janeīs letters and I must admit that itīs a bit bewildering for me. While our first letter had some interesting instants concerning travelling, I found it hard to read the next. All those names really confused me. Of course there are footnotes in my La Faye edition, but when they inform me that the persons in question are relatives to a certain FWA or EAK, it doesnīt really help to enlighten me...Is there a kind of family tree in the web I could print out and lay besides my book? Perhaps this would help me.

What was your first acquaintance with Janeīs letters like? Does it get easier the longer you keep on reading? I am ashamed, I really have to force myself to go on reading our second letter...
