Huxham   Written by kathleen (elder) (1/24/2010 9:37 p.m.)
Are you new?

Jane writes: "I hope Huxham is a comfort to you; I am glad you are taking it."

According to Chapman's notes, Huxham is named for "John Huxham, physician (1692 - 1798) whose tincture of cinchona bark is in the Bitish Pharmacopoeia." I wonder why Cassandra was using this medicine -- a quick google search indicated that it might be used in treating fever.
