I'm still not firing on all cylinders and have a lot of commitments at home to deal with, and so we've agreed that for this GR we are trying a different forumula to allow the GR to continue without placing too many moderating duties on me. I hope you will understand and approve.

We are covering letters 39-51 in this tranche : the numbering refers to the system as adopted by Deirdre le Faye in her edition of JA's letters .

Quite a lot of the letters under consideration this GR are sadly not included in the Brabourne edition of the letters of JA, which we have on line here at ROP.

So , in order to assist those of you who don't have access to the Le Faye edition, I will be posting the bare text of those letter as they occur so that you can read them and not be in the dark. I hope this meets with your approval ;-)

Also, some days I will also be posting facsimile pages from Jo Modart's book of JA's letters in facsimile , so that you can have a glimpse of what her original letters looked like.
