You have hit upon a subject I am in a fever to agree with. I think the letters from this group read have been particularly poignant and revealing on the sister’s relationship. I guess it is the raw emotion in Jane’s letters to which I respond. Although, regrettably, we do know how Cassandra consoles her sister, I cannot but think she does. Jane’s happiness to receive Cassandra’s letters and her need to write to her even when adventure is scarce, is a testament to how much she (they) relied upon each other for their emotional security. At least that is how I see it. (;D)
