Jane Austen in Bath   Written by Myretta (9/21/2007 8:48 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Conclusion, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

I must start out by reiterating that I really despise James and Mary. I feel as though the Austens were pushed out of their home so James could take it over. Things were never really the same for Jane and Cassandra after they left Steventon.

I know that we don't have much from Jane during her time in Bath. There is some thought that she was so unhappy she couldn't write. I would like to think that she grew to like it and that she was enjoying society too much take the time to write.

Thanks for doing this, Julie. I know how much work you put into it. If we didn't have a lot of conversation, we still have a valuable document of this group of letters. I'm looking forward to the next.
