Are you new?

JA's letters are a valuable primary historical source, straight from the horse's mouth so to speak, but yes, sometimes to us her comments, throw away one liners are head scratchers. It's doubly hard not having Casandra's letters to help us. How I wish we could defy the laws of physics, travel back in time and ask JA "what did you mean by that?" No doubt we would get short shrift from Jane, LOL
