It should be "and a sedate and middle aged man" Written by Graciela (9/17/2007 12:08 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, What does this phrase mean?, penned by Lila

She is joking when she says that his job would be being husband of one woman and lover of the other. Of course he would be working as a man-servant.
