Actually Bath buns and "Sally Lunns"   Written by JulieW (9/16/2007 5:51 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I wonder if she meant Sally Lunn's buns., penned by Reeba
Are you new?

are two different items of confectionary, Reeba ;-)

A bath bun is a sweet bun., Nowadays it is cooked with a piece of sugar cooked inside it, and it has sugar crumbled on the top surface.

A "Sally Lunn" is more akin to a brioche and is larger than a Bath Bun.

Here is a website on Sally Lunns and here is a link to a site about Bath Buns to explain the difference.

I much prefer Bath Buns, to Sally Lunns,I have to admit, and have disordered my stomach with them on many an occasion..
