The photograph of the replica post chaise and description clears up so much for me and I will look for the one in MP2—although I have very good memories of what Fanny looked at during her ride, I have not much memory of how she was able to. The window in front must have made the ride so much more pleasant than the small windows I imagined and for some reason the fact that the driver is behind the riders never penetrated my brain before—LoL! With all that glass the post chaise would be a fine vehicle for cruising as kids did in the fifties. Thanks and I am jealous of your attending the recreation—heavy sigh. ;D
