Comparing the letters.   Written by Mandy N (12/2/2006 5:14 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Re Letters 24 and 25 in facsimile, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

It will be of interest to contrast Letters 24 & 25 fascimile to the scan of Letter 27 to see if they are as difficult for a modern reader to de-cycher.

Considering the cost of cross-country posts, a letter writer like JA would wish to write a letter worth the cost of postage for her correspodent, Cassandra- hence the 'cram' of more lines to give info. on family and social activites.

Look forward to the scan, thanks. :)
