Thanks…with great intent to please   Written by Robbin (12/2/2006 3:00 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Letter 24, Robbin., penned by Reeba
Are you new?

I submit the following: What stands out to me is the word Descriptive so perhaps it has to do with describing places he has been, the Isle of Cyprus and Jaffa are mentioned, sort of like travel brochures (compositions?) describing the picturesque or the romantic aspects of these places—something surely his family would have enjoyed immensely. ;D

The rest of the letter, according to the present fashionable stile of Composition, is chiefly Descriptive; of his Promotion he knows nothing, & of Prizes he is guiltless. (Letter 24)
