I mounted the highly-extolled Staircase & went into the elegant Drawing room, which I fancy is now Mrs. Harrison’s apartment; (Letter 28)

To my dismay I could not find Mr. Collins extolling the majesties of any staircase in P&P and must wonder if I missed something or am under the influence of P&P2 Bias. Also to wonder about then—if P&P2 steals Mr. Collins love of staircases from this comment or if it is a happy coincidence. ;D At any rate, JA must have heard about the staircase prior to her ascent—perhaps it has been Improved. ;D
