I do so agree,Barbara   Written by JulieW (12/2/2006 2:45 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Letter Writing/The Austen Family and Such, penned by BarbaraB
Are you new?

I know clothes historians find her letters very useful.

You can read these lettters in isolation or try to read them in yearly chuncks alone, but I do think therer is an awful lot you dont necessarily " get" without a lot of extra work: finding picutres of places, trying to assemble the Austen's group of neohgbours in ones head, working ou where things were in her neighbourhood, etc., etc.

Which I why I really ewnoy the priviedge of being able to do this, with like minded souls.

Thank you all for coming along to discuss things !
