Letters 24 & 25- more Chucklers !   Written by Mandy N (12/1/2006 2:07 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Quite a few LOL/chuckle lines in 24 & 25, penned by Reeba
Are you new?

I think LOL ! and Chucklers give us a sense both of JA's wit and how she succintly describes people and events round her,

Letter 24.

'Your abuse of our Gown amuses, but does not discourage me.'

'a couple of ladies standing up together, but not often so amicable as ourselves'.

Letter 25.

'-Mr Heathcote met with a genteel little accident the other day in hunting'.

( Poor mr Heathcote, but I like JA's conciseness. I suppose it also saved letterspace.)
