Corrections re attributions   Written by JulieW (11/30/2006 5:20 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, This thread is wonderful, as is..., penned by Arnie Perlstein
Are you new?

The thread above did not clearly establish the link between The Birth-Day by Dibdin and "Emma" and "Mansfield Park".

Other, much more intelligent people than I made that initial link.

I gave an attribution to Dr Paula Byrne in my post above.

Also the infromation about the Harwood family which has so impressed you was clearly attributed by me in my post last year to it's rightful author: Dierdre Le Faye.

She did the original research: I merely passed it on the the participating members of the Group Read.

One need only read her edition of The Letters throuoghly to gain access to her great knowledge.

Please do not jump to conclusions when attributions have been clearly and deliberately given : I am not willing to "steal anyone's thunder".

As a lawyer I am excessively attentive to all these matters.
