Are you new?

of turban and this cap shown below from Egypt? Would this early cap kind of Fez thing be what sits atop the head which supports the feather, and the turban is wound around this, in line with the illustration/sketch? I have no idea, and just put the name in Google because I am fascinated too, and found this reference after fiddling around with the spelling a bit. Questions like this always intrigue me for some reason! Not sure about this, but thought I would post it anyway.
