elderly, it is most probable , don't you think, Robbin, that she is in mourning? For her husband or other relatives?

It's a truism but there does come a time in ones life whenone attends more funerals than weddings....

There periods of mourning could be quite lengthy in our era. I've linked an old post of mine from L+T which goes into the evidence, which is not complete or as certain as the rules for mourning in later eras.
