Are you new?

full of live pigeons sent from Edward's estate( probably Godmersham) on a waggon to 13 Queens Square where they were staying, to feed them with copious amounts of pigeon pie( once the pigeons were dispathced and cooked of course!)

The practise of sending fresh produce from estates to where the owner was staying( in other parts of the country) continued till the early part of the 20th century.
