Buying clothes...   Written by Mandy N (11/28/2006 5:47 p.m.)
Are you new?

In Letters 20 &21, Jane refers to buying clothes a few times-
her new Clock with a pattern of lace and a new veil as well as deciding accessories for her hat- flowers of fashionable fruit.

It appears Jane & Cassandra didn't make all their own clothes but were sometimes able to buy clothes or have them made up, at town shops.
Anyone's thoughts on this subject ?
:)
