if you have a copy of Bath Commercialis'd then you will be able to work out where the shops were ;-)

Because Bath had attracted very rich visitors in the early part of teh 18th century, the growth in luxury shops selling luxury goods grew with them.

Not for nothing was Mrs Allen impressed with Bath's shopping facilities.
