Not me...   Written by Robbin (11/27/2006 7:42 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Letter 18: Would you like to make some shirts for Charles?, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

;D Not being a seamstress of any merit at all I can only be diverted by the simplicity and practicality of the pattern for, although not of my own doing, I have seen all the unusual and odd sized scrapes which can be left over from patterns with a lot of curves. I think making shirts for their brothers was a practical and economical occupation for Jane and Cassandra but I get the impression that the Austen family is so close that this kind of task was done with affection and a great deal of fondness for the future owner. Would Charles’ sisters have embellished the shirts with embroidery or some fancy stitching? ;D

Thanks Julie W! :D
